OUR VISION

OUR STORY
It is inspiring to live a dream, to hold a vision in one’s mind and pay homage to it
with little and big efforts cradled in faith when it is hard to see that it will come true.
Whatever you can dream or think you can do
Begin It.
Boldness has genius power and magic in it.
~Goethe
These words have guided the Beachcomber into fruition and continue to be a force in our lives.
It is our intention to serve up lemon bars that insight peace, coffee that supports families around the world and foods harvested from our region. We began as a trinity of ladies on Trinity Street in Trinidad in 2003. All with degrees in some form of environmental science, we endeavored to serve our community and our ethos through the café. What if we offered alternatives to the single use paper cup? What if we composted food waste and fed it to our chickens then used the eggs for a divine egg salad sandwich? What if we picked up one piece of trash every time we walked the beach? “What if?” is a fun question to ask. It can lead to all sorts of possibilities.
We are entering into an age of responsibility. Our young species is readying itself to take actions that will serve our
children, grandchildren and generations of all species to come. It is time to restore our world through small and big actions.
We believe we can tip our world towards balance with a heartfelt smile and a wonderful cup of coffee.
We invite you to enjoy what the Beachcomber Café has to offer in the spectacular setting of Trinidad.
